Gouache Sketch Play
Liquitex Acryla-Gouache Experiment
Today I’m testing out my new set of Liquitex Acryla-Gouache. This was on smooth paper in the Ranger Sketchbook. I got this little set because I thought they would work well on my Christmas ornaments and they do. They are liquid and easier to mix than regular gouache - still matte - although not quite as matte as my favorites Holbein Acryla-Gouache but I do love the packaging. You can squeeze out as much as you want from the tip. A fun experiment but I think I’m looking for a flatter more matte finish so I’ll try them on a cold press paper or illustration board. I do love that once they are down, they are acrylic so they don’t move when you paint over them. I can see a use for that kind of application in an illustration perhaps mixed with regular gouache. More experimenting!
